This state-mandated 28-hour training covers firearms safety, legal considerations, marksmanship, and tactical defensive shooting techniques.
Course Breakdown:
✔ Days 1 & 2 (Classroom Instruction – 10 Hours Each Day)
- Florida firearms laws, use of force, and legal responsibilities
- Firearms safety, handling, and maintenance
- Marksmanship fundamentals and defensive shooting tactics
✔ Day 3 (Live Fire Qualification – 8 Hours at the Range)
- Practical shooting exercises to demonstrate proficiency
- Weapons handling, drawing from a holster, and engagement drills
- Qualification course of fire per Florida state standards
